China’s Central Bank Buys the Dip, Adding 15 Tonnes to Gold Reserves in June

China’s central bank bought 15 tonnes of gold last month, its largest purchase this year and the 20th straight month of reserve growth. Total holdings reached 2,346 tonnes after a year-to-date increase of over 40 tonnes. The move came as prices fell below $4,000 an ounce following a break under the 200-day moving average.
