6/21/2026 · Kitco News

Gold and silver prices declined early in North American trading amid pressure from the Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance, a firmer dollar and fading Middle East risk premium. Spot gold stood near 4154.70 dollars an ounce, down 1.28%, while silver traded at 64.690 dollars, off 1.35%. U.S. markets remained shut for the Juneteenth holiday after the Fed held rates at 3.50%-3.75%.
