Gold and Silver Slip on Hormuz Attacks Lifting Oil and Fed Risk Premium

Gold and silver prices eased late Tuesday as rising Treasury yields and a firmer dollar outweighed support from last week’s weak jobs report. Spot gold traded near 4127.10 dollars an ounce, down 0.04 percent, while silver stood near 60.859 dollars unchanged. Comex futures settled at 4145.30 dollars for gold, off 0.24 percent, and 60.931 dollars for silver, down 1.60 percent.
