Gold and Silver Tumble After Strong Jobs Data Boosts Dollar and Yields

Spot gold and silver prices fell sharply Friday afternoon after a stronger-than-expected May jobs report lifted the dollar and Treasury yields. Gold traded near $4,323.70 an ounce, down 3.39%, while silver hit $67.895, off 8.12%. Employers added 172,000 positions with unemployment steady at 4.3%.
