Gold Nears $4,500 as Soft Jobs Data and Less Hawkish Waller Ease Yield Pressure

Spot gold traded near $4,488.80 an ounce, up 2.28%, while silver reached $66.55, gaining 1.88%. Gains followed softer labor signals, falling Treasury yields and a less hawkish stance from Fed Governor Christopher Waller. Weekly jobless claims edged to 206,000 and continuing claims to 1.779 million.
