Despite August's gold price swings, Indian jewelry purchases stayed resilient and physical investment demand held steady, according to WGC's Kavita Chacko. ETF inflows rose 67% month-over-month to $272 million, lifting holdings to 121.3 tonnes, while MCX futures turnover hit a five-month high at INR295 billion. Domestic prices climbed 12% to INR158,854 per 10 grams before easing 4.6% in September.
