Gold prices jumped above $4,100 per ounce on Thursday after fresh U.S. labor data beat expectations. Initial jobless claims totaled 215,000 for the week ending June 27, below the 220,000 forecast. The four-week moving average rose to 222,000, while continuing claims reached 1.814 million. Spot gold last traded at $4,116.72, gaining 2.11% on the day. The figures were released alongside June’s nonfarm payrolls report.
